Chewing Water

Does anyone know why guinea pigs chew water? It looks so cute and funny.

Haha! I would hazard a guess that the water is rinsing some of the gloop from the inside of their mouths - especially if they ate recently!

I believe piggies can store a small amount of food or hay at the back and that may be what they are chewing

Don't worry, they are just helping dry food be chewed more easily.
