I'm' so worried. I just woke up and I could hear Chipy on the baby monitor in the shed breathing loud. So I went out wondering what the noise was and it is him breathing. It sounds like wheezing but with noise, like a piggy noise, not wheeking but like when they are doing low talking to one another. It so hard to expliain. My husband described it like a noise a toad would make.

He looks totally fine, perky and eyes are clear, nose looks clear. He grabbed his carrot as normal and is eating it like crazy.

This happened once in summer and I booked an appt but the next day is was gone so I cancelled.

Anyone has any ideas?

Jeff does a similar thing, where I think he eats too fast, he gets a bit of food caught somewhere. He'll breathe like this for a while, cough, and then it's gone.

If you're concerned though, see a vet :)

Wheezing

I have been keeping a close eye on Lacey but on the odd occasion in the morning (normally about 5am) she starts heavy breathing then has a little cough and it stops, its not ongoing at all otherwise I would have had her straight down the vet.

Could it be that she has eaten too quickly (she tends to eat like someone's going to take it away)?
