Hi, everyone,

For those who don't know, Chipychanga, had dental surgery last Tuesday and it was a struggle to feed him. We finally worked out a routine and thankfuly he is now eating some foods on his own and I've been able to stop the critical care. He still isn't able to eat large pieces of food or his pellets but he can eat grass, hay, dandelions, small pieces of apple, green/red pepper and banana. And grated carrots. I was wrapping soggy pellets inside his dandelion leaves to trick him into eating them. teehee, it worked.

Here are some pictures:

Hope you liked them. :))

He's a gorgeous lad and I hope that he continues to get better and have more of an appetite when it is easier for him to eat and chew.

What a handsome chap I'm so glad hes feeling much better!:) x)

Thanks everyone! I think he is the cutest, but I guess I'm biased :))

I felt a little silly today but had to make the call. I called the Vets to ask about morphine withdrawal for chipy. He had been on morphine for a week and I wondered if he would have any withdrawals. I felt rather stupid calling! She said no he should be fine but if he starting eating less than they would give me another week of the meds. She would like to see him in 2 weeks to check his teeth.

I wish he'd start eating pellets again. But all in good time I guess. My husband says its probably because he has so much other good stuff to eat and that I should let him have only hay and pellets for awhile to force him to eat pellets. I disagree.

I am so pleased he is doing better. That wasn't a silly question about the morphine at all. I know when Gert was on steroids she had to be gradually phased off them.

CHIPYYYYYYYY x)

ahhhh he's such a darling boy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
so glad to see pigtures of him munching away on his greeeen spaghetti x)

Hope he starts to eat his pellets soon, but eating his hay is a wonderful step that will keep those toofies ground down YAY!
