Hi all ..i have two boys and as i was ustairs i heard a loud chirping noise from one of the guineas .. He has never done this before and as i rushed downstairs to see what was wrong he was by himself chirping away even when i bent down near him he still done it .. He was not hurt or anything, What does this mean is he happy .. I got a new cosy bed and a wire ball that hangs food in .. could he be saying he likes it ..hahaha hope so ...He sounded like a bird if that helps..
 
Some guinea pigs can chirp, but so far nobody knows why. Feel blessed! :))
 
Yes it is quite rare to have a chirping guinea pig, i have 2 who sometimes chirp, only ever in the middle of the night and as soon as they hear noise or see light they stop. I have never known why they have done it. x
 
I'm so glad he is happy ... ill have to post some pics of them both as they are lovely .. i posted some pictures of them a while back as they had very bad awful skin condition and had no hair I'm so pleased with them now ..
