Junior Guinea Pig
Choco is a 2.5 years old boy, who still have the boys part.
The whole thing started around beginning of 2017, he cried when he peed, and blood spots appeared, found some sludge and in Jan 2018 he peed out two small stones.
He did hunching as well with crying at pee.
He has had 4 xrays till now, all clear, and always had a bladder flush as well, and he has got antibiotics (sulfatrim and marbocyl) for 2-4-6 weeks.
The bleeding and crying comes and goes, we can't connect to anything.
Apart from crying and bleeding (usually couple of times per day but not always), he is still the same pig than before, running around, chewing cage, eats and poops fine, his weight hasn't changed in the last 6 weeks (the last xray)
He is going to have a blood test in couple of days.
The hunching disappeared around two weeks ago (I got a diary for every day now about blood, food, etc).
We are here now: He had a clear xray 6 weeks ago, got 5 weeks sulfatrim, and after marbocyl. The marbocyl worse than sulfatrim, he had more blood in the pee.
He doesn't cry at every pee and there is no blood in every pee.
Usually has a ca remains, but not always, and its a small amount.
If we say a pig pees twice per hour, I would say he has blood in the 35-40% of his wee.
His food:
timothy hay
apple slices 1x2x day sometimes cucumber
filtered water-daily change
dry food: maybe every second day he can eat some Selective Naturals Grain Free - I mean 2-3 pieces per every second day.
plus syringe drinking sessions- small flavouring in the water and he drinks it happily, usually 15-20-25ml per session
diuretics
cystophan
They are in the living room, around 20-22 C degrees, fleece, he has a cagemate, they don't fight.
We have not too much idea now, any ideas? I am trying to work together with the vet to find out any possible things
