Chopping Spring Greens?

Just wondered how these should be fed. Our piggies just tried them and love them, however one greedy piggy was making a clicky/cough type sound for a while afterwards (she has been perfectly fine since) and I was wondering if she had something stuck in her throat? I cut it to pieces about 2cm, but have seen somebody say leave large pieces to make sure greedy piggies chew properly. My daughter also had some for her tea and said it was quite chewy and stringy? So worried about feeding again, small bits or large? Also the place where they are boarding also feeds this so need to know if it's ok for my greedy piggy or whether they should avoid. Thank you
 
what i do is roll it up and then cut it and it ends up as strips. use a sharp knife otherwise you do seem to get some stringy edges. i just check for any and remove them. :)
 
Thanks, will try that method then. Seems it's a bit like celery, tho I wouldn't have thought it!
