After a few week's worth of planning and creating, some of the Christmas piggie beds are finished (with the help of my mum too, who I am very thankful to!) Everything is handmade with care and will hopefully be the right size for any pig!
More things will be added (Piggie Pouches & Piglows & Lap Pads - A pad with an absorbent and waterproof layer so you can hold your pigs without getting wet - & more) over the days. Please let me know if you'd like to reserve something.

Custom orders

I am willing to take custom orders for any items already existing or anything else you have in mind. I am also willing to make cage liners which can have an absorbent & waterproof layer or not but obviously price will be higher if you want the extra layers.

They are for sale in my Etsy shop so please take a look.

ThePiggieParadise

I am willing to combine postage for the same price (£2.80), but if your order weighs more than the limit for this postage then it will cost a bit more. Average arrival time is 3-10 days.
Thank you for taking a look and we hope you will order!

Merry (early) Christmas from us and the pigs!

I'm also thinking about making pig beds based on other Christmas things like a reindeer, Santa, bauble or a snowflake. I am definitely making stocking Piggie Pouches.

Would anyone prefer any of these?

I've thought recently of a product gap in the marketplace for piggie things. Plenty of people do waterproof lined lap pads. It's also easy for anyone to get a standard fleece blanket for piggies to bury themselves in at lap time. But there doesn't seem to be anything which is a combination of the two - waterproof layered to stop piddles, not too big so they can sit on your lap without folds of blanket everywhere, but big enough that you could fold a part over once so they could bury into a little dark den in there. Not sure if others like the idea, but would work for my piggies, as I find lap pads too small, blankets too big, but my piggies don't always want to be out in the open even if the lounge lights are turned down.

So do you mean just a little bit of a larger lap pad? Or maybe a lap pad with another layer of fleece sewn onto it so you could either use it as a lap pad or lift the other layer up and they could burrow in?

The second option you mention would be best with another layer you could lift up so they could burrow in. You could make it sort of pocket shaped or more rounded and stitched at the sides and open at one end so they can't fall out - something that happens quite often in my house with blankets, if I don't watch carefully. They get so busy burrowing away and squirmed under the layers in blankets it gets difficult sometimes to let them get comfy but stop them before they fall out the side!

It might end up looking like a flattened out pigloo crossed with a lap pad, (until they are inside it of course) but with a waterproof bottom layer.

I could deffo make those then if you wanted me to! What size would be good?

will give it some thought, but probably big enough for two piggies to stretch out in it on my lap would be a starting point.

If anyone wants to like my facebook page: Rosie's Cosy Cavies that would be great! You will get all the latest info of new products available, prices and current fabrics available etc. :)

@5littlepigs Well I have got all 4 piglows. They are all lovely and I know will come in useful. Apart from being able to use them on my knee for lap time with my two guinea pigs I can also put them into
cosies as an extra cushion that I can take out and wash.
I am hopeless at photos but I think I can attach photos of the four piglows with my own model called Rupert. He is new to modelling but he is an experienced 7 year old guinea pig who likes nothing better than to live in comfort and be fed whenever he feels like it. Because of this he is a bit chunky but he can stay still for photos which is his main asset as a model.

Oh heck I was doing so well I thought. @sport_billy if you could kindly delete the duplicated photos I would be grateful.
Many thanks Rosie for the piglows I am very happy with them. They will keep my guineapigs warm and cosy.
