Ah the joy of Christmas. Except now I have to buy a stocking full of presents for my guinea pigs and half the things there at pets at home, guinea pigs can’t eat!

To be honest I rarely do Christmas presents for the guinea pigs. I buy them new fleece cosies or carrot cottages/hay cubes as and when. The piggies don't understand Christmas, it is another day to them and the one time I did wrap a present for them they really weren't interested in a wrapped present or trying to get into it I do however tend to do a "Christmas dinner" for them. They will have carrot peelings, parsnip peelings, brussel sprouts and a few other of their usual veg (I think Daisy has worked out it's the bits the humans don't want but shhh the others are still fooled)

Has long as everyone is there for the Guinea pigs at Christmas they don't want anything only good food, hay,and cucumber to send them wild ! Same for every animal

Why can't they make December a normal month, then everyone will be happy

Every day is like Christmas to a rescued piggy living in a forever home or safely with foster carers, so I don’t give mine gifts. They have a new hay cube ready for when the current one is destroyed, but I don’t think I can make them wait until Christmas Day for it.

Why don't you make some treats for them? Make them into Christmas shapes. Most recipes would be out of stuff you already feed them I.e hay. I made some the other week which were hay, carrot and oat cookies. They went down a treat! I just got the recipe off here

I visited Petco today looking for Christmas presents for my Finn and Lara. I got some wooden chew sticks for them today. At the Petco, I also looked at baby piggies, talked with Adina the store manager, and petted other dogs at the shop.
Tomorrow I will be visiting Petsmart to look for more Christmas presents for my Finn and Lara.

I don’t get my girls Christmas presents.
They don’t understand the concept of presents and are happy either appearance of food and things to play in or with all year.

My Christmas presents for Finn and Lara.
Ginger Bread stuffed toy, bag of mini-corn, and chew sticks which I open the bag and gave them some even though it is not even Christmas yet. They have been making noise chewing on it, and I can tell they are enjoying their early Christmas chews.
I decided to buy just one doll because they have like 20 stuff toys already, so they will rotate in playing with this new Ginger Bread toy.

I just got my order for fleece pigloos from Ziggy's Piggies before they shut the order books for Christmas. I have them arriving either today or tomorrow. That is their Christmas present this year.

I usually get them a new cozie or accessory but this year I'm going to make a gift for them! I did think of treating them to a new carrier but after all the vet bills last month they are on home made gifts!
