My herd and I are going to be featured in Cincinnati Magazine (a local magazine out of Cincinnati, OH). The May issue is all about pets and they heard about my therapy pigs and asked for an interview as an interesting pet parent. The best part about it is I got to do a professional photo shoot with all of my piggies! My mom came to help wrangle piggies and the photographer had two assistants there, but none of them were needed, the piggies just hung out next to me and were so good! Of course there were a few poops that an assistant quickly picked up with a tissue. It was so fun, I can’t wait to see the finished photos!411B4DFB-13BA-4FE6-97FD-F0CB60FEF33C.webpACBEE4B2-7945-418A-A7C7-7999E5317655.webpCAF6EC1F-E895-47EA-BB17-30B3081F24BA.webp7B8B7FCF-BF6C-46E4-A08E-8639BF2A2005.webp088092BB-9534-4770-BF87-4974C56F1896.webp

Congratulations, honey. Both you and your piggies looking stunning! :luv:

I want to know more about your therapy pigs! What do they do?
I have 3 registered therapy pets, Rapunzel, Jasmine, and Olaf. I can only take one at a time per the pet therapy rules so I take them to hospitals, cancer centers, an addiction treatment center, nursing homes, libraries, schools, businesses, and my most recent place is an organization that provides therapy for children who have been physically and/or sexually abused. I make sure that the places we visit are not too crowded or noisy so the piggies don’t get stressed out, but basically people just pet them and hold them and it makes them feel good! It’s so great to get to spend time with my piggies while helping others. I also educate people a lot about guinea pigs (mostly stuff I learned on this forum) and share how fascinating the little creatures are!

Aww, how worthwhile is that? Do your piggies like all that attention? That's amazing, considering so much has to be on the piggy's terms!

We have a therapy dog that comes into school where I work (it's a special needs school) and the way some children's faces light up when they see him is just beautiful. He's a big black fluffy dog (maybe a Newfoundland?), drools all over the place when it's hot, but the children don't seem to mind!

(Personally, I'd rather guinea pig poops than dog drool 😂😂😂)

Keep up the good work with your amazing piggeroos x
