Hey all,
Biscuit's back claws are long but it is the quicks that are long and they are curling.I don't know what to do.
And also both of their ears seems to peel like or something.They are not sore.They just seem to peel.They have pretty much been like that sense I got them so..I was just wondering.
 
If the back nails are starting to curl, they really need clipping as if they curl too much, they can dig underneath piggies foot causing pain and discomfort. What colour are Biscuits nails? If they are a light colour, you should be able to see the vein quite clearly and this must not be cut. If you clip a little tiny bit off the claws (not thru quick), the quick will slowly recede back up the nail. You can clip a little bit off once or twice a week until the claws are looking normal again. It’s slow progress but the only way to get the nails back to a manageable size. Then you can go back to clipping monthly.
 
Some pigs have quite long, curling quicks, and there is not much you can do, apart from clipping the nails more regularly. With age, especially the front claws start to twist.
