I don't know about anyone else, but I find cleaning up my pig runs really relaxing!
I have three seperate cages to clean at the minute (all my pigs are seperated at the moment, because of fighting among the eldest two, and baby Gizmo only having been here a week or two!) but I don't mind the hassle at all.

My OH sighs and moans when he has to do anything with the pigs other than cuddle or stroke them (he's only in it for the nice bits!), but I find it really fulfilling, especially because the piggies always seems so much happier to be in a clean environment. I think one of mine has a touch of OCD too, the second he sees the dustpan and brush or a bin liner, he starts popcorning like mad!

There isn't really a point to this...just thought I'd share. rolleyes

Yes, I know just what you mean, too. And when it was all done, I loved the fact that the piggies were going into a nice clean home. Mind you, I did the entire job every second day, which maybe was too much, but they never smelled, and I'm sure they must've enjoyed the fresh bedding, etc.

I know what you mean. There is nothing more satisfying than putting your piggies into a freshly cleaned cage and watching them popcorn. I always stand back and admire the lovely clean cage and get a sense of satisfaction. (I Need to get out more) The tidyness doesnt last long and they soon have the cage like a pig sty. Wouldnt have it any other way

I'm actually the same way as well. I'm a neat freak and the cage gets swept clean of poo about 5-7 times a day haha.
I feel happier looking at a clean cage and poo-free fleece! :(|)

Same here, i am a complete neat freak and am changing mine on to fleece so they will be more tidy and feel more comfortable :))

I am the same i always admire the cage after with great satifaction. My hubby thinks i am nuts, lol

Is it the satisfaction of cleaning them out or the fact that we know that they are happy when we have finished. Shame family aren't that appreciative when you have cleaned for them eh! lol.:))

I love doing it too, I've got 6 hutches in my conservatory that I do every couple of days and I love putting everything in all neat with their hay in one place food in another - they have towels in the bed area with hay - and it just looks lovely, then I put them back in.......................... rolleyes but I wouldn't have it any other way either x)x)

I love cleaning out all the animals, its a fun job (even though my OH hates it! he always says he will help but NEVER does). I love how organised and clean everything looks once you've done it and how happy the animals are when they go back in :)

l just love cleaning my Bob out too, l usualy do it every couple of days or so.

I love the look of the cages and runs when they have all been cleaned out, its just a shame they dont say lovely and clean for long. Within a few hours of putting the piggies back in their cage they are a **** old mess again. I usually clean mine out in two nights, as one lot go in the runs for 2 nights, then i have to wash all the bedding etc, then put them back, then I do the next lot, but i dont mind doing it at all!

oh i hate cleaning the 5 cages and so dose my dad who helps me

i like getting thier runs in the gardan ready
