i am due to clean my guinea pigs cage out and in a leaflet to use disinfectant to clean the cage, i have only had them since the weekend so its the first time cleaning them out, do i use normal disinfectant from the supermarket or is there special disinfectant for animals. i dont want to use anything that will harm them.

thanks

I think Pet Disinfectant is safer as it doesn't contain chemicals harmful to Small Animals. :)

I use a half vinegar/half water solution. Doesn't smell the nicest but its cheap and does a really good job cleaning the cage :)

thanks, they do say vinegar is a good cleaner, and if we do get disinfectant il look for stuff that is pet friendly
