Cleaning grease gland

I have had my piggies for a few weeks and thought I'd treat them to a bath as they were getting smelly!
I noticed that their grease glands had a brown sort of clog up (made it look like they had 2 bums lol) and I wasn't sure what everyone usually did to get this off?
I improvised with a new toothbrush and some neat fairy liquid and rubbed lightly in little circled until it came loose enough to gently pick it off.
The boys were't too happy about this but they didn't make any alarming calls or squeaks. I don't think they were happy with the whole bath time shenaningans, especially when the hair dryer came into it! rolleyes
Any tips for next time would be much appreciated!

How often do you find you have to clean them? x

So far I've only had to clean the grease glands twice in 7 months. I guess it just depends on how bad it is!
