My Boar Winston gets bedding and hay stuck in his anal sack and I try not to poke at it too often unless I see something poking out that I can pull out quickly for him because I feel so guilty taking a dive in there even though when I do it's necessary. I flipped him onto his back on a pillow today, I usually put him on something where I can get below him so it's not so uncomfortable but I used the back flip method. And I opened it a bit and there was a lot of bedding and hay so I used a tweezer and tried to pull as much as I could at once and gave him a few breaks before continuing, I just want to know if this is the correct way because I feel like using a q tip pushes everything in but I feel like I'm traumatizing him by doing this even though I know its for his benefit and I'm not trying to harm him. Opinions? I feel so guilty...

I’m not sure honey, I have zero experience with boars.
I can only bump the thread for you for someone else to see. 💕

Hi. It’s not traumatising for them to have their bits cleaned out. If it needs doing it needs doing. But I wouldn’t use tweezers. I’ve linked the thread below on boar bits and care.
