Cleaning small wounds

Hi all
My guinea pig (Archie) has just had a cyst that has popped. The vet said the cyst was safe but I'm unsure of the best way to treat the small cut that is now on there. I've currently been treating it by cleaning It then putting some Savlon on it but i am unsure if this is the correct way. I am also unsure as to how many times to do this in a day.

Bathing with saline solution is often recommended - salt dissolved in hot water - obviously cooled before use. It should be fine for this

I agree about the salt. I usually mix one teaspoon of salt with one pint of cooled boiled water from the kettle

Bathing with saline is always good. My vets also sell F10 ointment which I keep in for accidents, scrapes etc. It’s safe for piggies. F10 Germicidal Barrier Ointment

I keep a bottle of Hibiscrub in for bathing small wounds etc
