Cleaning tips

I have been given an indoor cage by a friend. I didn't real what a state it was in and didn't want to appear rude by refusing. Any ideas how I can clean the base? It's awful

Wow it’s in quite a state! I had an indoor cage like that when I adopted my two, they came with it. Mine was clean though, i’ve moved them to a bigger c&c but while they were in it I used to clean it with hot water and washing up liquid (well rinsed). If you leave it to soak I’d imagine that it would come off with a good scrub. Might take a couple of attempts though. Good luck!

White vinegar, bit of hot water and leave to soak for a good while should bring it up a lot better

Oh and a jet wash after the vinegar treatment. Works lovely, if you haven’t got one, take it down to a car wash....

Thanks all it's soaking in vinegar and water and has started to come off in places so fingers crossed
