Hi,
We have 3 glass water bottles, 2 living world, 1 Trixie, the white inners of the caps keep turning green even though the water is changed 2 x day. I can't get them clean properly.
Does anyone have any ideas please? Or can you buy spare tops anywhere? The bottles themselves are perfect. Thanks

Try this....Put some uncooked rice in the bottle, add a bit of water and then shake vigorously.
Don’t forget to rinse throughly after

Every 2 weeks I soak the bottles in a solution of Milton (baby bottle steriliser) to get everything nice and clean.

I clean inside & outside the spout with a cotton bud, the bottle with a brush & the inside of the lid eiether a small toothbrush or cotton bud. Hope this helps!

Thanks all, I'll try the Milton's on the tops. The bottles I have a good brush for... Just the pesky tops! 😀

Tried them but they don't get between the thread to clean out the green bits! Use them for spout tho. Thnx 😁

They look good. I'll see if ebay have an economy version 😉 The bottle brush i have has a tiny pull out brush in the handle but the bristles don't quite di the job properly,

Don't forget if you are using glass bottles and your piggies are outside, keep the bottles covered, saves the water from going green, keeps the water cooler.
