  1. I notice my guinea pig, because she squeaked a tiny bit and when she moved there was a glob (very thin and clear/white) of discharge. Other than that she seems to be going to the toilet without pain. Could it be caused by being in heat or is it something I should be worried about? Thank you! :) P.S She's two years old and not spayed.

:D Sometimes normal wee can be a whitish colour, sometimes it is yellowish. As long as there is no blood in it, there is nothing to worry about. A thick whitish dis-charge that comes out with the wee is calcium deposits, and that is normal too. Also, the colour of wee can sometimes be influenced by what the piggie has eaten. Things like beetroot or tomato will make the wee more reddish, and look like blood.

Thanks 7sqeakers. This was separate from her wee. Oh, your piggie looks like my Sandy. So cute! Poppet does sometimes have calcium deposits (never gritty). It didn't look anything like a mucus plug or anything that I've been able to google. :-/ It was just this opaque glob of ... I wish I'd taken a photo....It wasn't thick, just milky like mucus. What bothered me most was that it seemed to hurt her to pass it. :(
