I really don't think guinea pigs get enough credit. I sometimes have them through in my bedroom for laptime if I'm watching tv or studying just to spend some time with them and give them some extra veggie treats. I always know when CheesyPuff has had enough because he starts moaning. Well last night I was in our bedroom with him and my OH was in the spare room where their cage is and CheesyPuff had decided he wanted to go home. So I put him down on the floor while I folded up their fleece and before I knew it he had dondered voluntarily through to his room right to his cage and was hanging about there waiting for my OH to put him back in. Thought it might have just been a one off but he did the same today. I'm such a proud parent! lol.x)x)x)

Is his cage low enough to put him a liitle ramp so that he can get in by himself. We have taught our boar to get back in and he comes and goes as he pleases now.:))

Piggies are definitely far smarter than they get credit for. Lets face it, they have us wrapped round their little paws. They just act dumb to lull us into a false sense of security :p

Would love to do that for them but their cage is in our spare room/office which has a lot of dark corners and hidey holes and my two are very relaxed when it comes to their toilet habits lol. I'm pretty sure they are more than capable of litter training but just refuse to do it.
