My Suilven likes to climb. He's young so he has sharp claws and will climb up clothes, flesh, toys, the cage, the sofa and anything else he can get hold of.

Not sure whether to encourage him or not?!

He always has to be at the highest point of wherever he is - usually on top of the hidey. I never used to have a lid on teh cage as Merry and Pippin never made any attempt to escape even though they were aware they could but Suilven is always trying to climb out so lid on was a no-brainer. Now all he does is climb on the hidey and knaw the bars of the lid!

What's safe for him to climb or not? Anyone else have super intrepid piggies?

Alan is guinea pig explorer extrodanaire!

I was worried about him climbing on things and jumping off, but as long as it's not too high (I'm currently keeping the top area of their hutch out of bounds for this reason) And it's something he's climbing on which is stable and not likely to topple onto him and squish him, I'm sure it's fine.

Just keep an eye out for anything he's jumping up/on/into and that he's not hurting himself :)
