clipping nails

my piggies are about four months now and havent had their nails done yet i have tried to do them myself but they were very wriggly so i left it, I'm thinking of bringing them to vet to get them done

The pink part you see is the quick. You must never cut into it. They could do with a tiny trim but nothing urgent.
 
Not at all! They look fine.

If you tried to cut those I think you would cut the quick. Wait until they are a bit longer then just take a tiny bit off each week. The quick will retreat back over time.

The more you do it, the more they will get used to it. Get someone to help you if you can its always easier with 2 pairs of hands lol!

Or take them to the vet and ask them to show you how, then you can do it yourself :))
 
thanks i think will wait a bit longer and have another go my piggies are such drama queens they think I'm murdering them sometimes:))
 
Mine are the same rolleyes Jamie isnt too bad hes fairly still when I pick him up, but trying to do Ginos is like holding a jelly! he wriggles soooo much lol!
 
You can always ask the vet nurse to show you how to do it at first, but you have some time yet until the nails need to be cut.
