Clips to close a Kavee cage lid?

Hello.
We bought two little girl piggies home yesterday. They are very shy and so I’ve given them lots of hidies and space.
I have a second hand C&C kavee cage. I’ve cable tied it and it’s super sturdy but I want to find some kind of clips to close the lid.

We have cats - who I think will be terrified of them but I’m not taking chances. I shut the door when they go out so the cats can’t get near but I’d love to clip the lid shut. At the moment I tied it with string into places.

How lovely you’ve got two girls 🥰
I have a kavee C&C cage with a lid. I’ve just used string too - it’s easy to do up and undo and as I have a dog it’s just reassuring
The lid is very heavy so I doubt my little dog could lift it but like you I’m not taking chances !

We’d love to see pictures and know a bit about you , your piggies and your cats 🥰

Hello and welcome to the forum. I use lobster claw clips on my cage doors, they should work on a lid too.
 
Thanks guys. Yes they are very timid so we haven’t seen a lot of them. I’m trying to give them peace and quiet and I feel bad whenever I have to do a poo sweep or feed them. But they are slowly starting to come out. The towel over the cage tip is a great idea and has been helping I think. They haven’t been handled much and are only about 18 weeks so I think they’re pretty freaked out!
