Well, we put Dindy and Cupcake together and sat back, here is what happened.
I'm so proud of Dindy for not being a thug. She did lots of dominance stuff, lots of nudges, maybe a little bit of nipping and lots of 'duddering'. Cupcake gave Dindy the run around and eventually started a game of tag with Dindy.
Oh, sorry about the telly noise etc.

Close encounters of the second kind

The following night we put them together again and what a result.

Awwwwwwwww Brilliant :) I had a feeling Dindy would accept Cupcake with her being a baby :) It's so lovely to see Dindy with a friend and Cupcake is so beautiful x) I know everyone at Cavy Corner adored Cupcake and will be thriled to see how she is getting on with Dindy :)

Looks to me like they have decided that two is company! I hope that you have left them together afterwards so that they can work through the dominance protocol - too many interruptions won't help.

Thanks for the links Wiebke, Lynda and I had already read them in preparation for the later 'letting them go and see what happens' part of their introductions and found them very useful. We are being especialy carefull with Dindy because of her abused history and when we first tried to introduce her to a friend last year she went straight for the kill so to speak and drew blood within seconds. They are in adjacent pens so that they can see and talk to each other. Our main problem now is to find a suitabley large enough pen that will fit into Lynda's tiny bungalow. We are thinking about a two tiered one that can be blocked at the top of the ramp if things take a different turn in the future.

They look lovely together and its great that they are getting along so well.
Thanks for posting the video.

So glad they are getting on well, there little stunners:)
