1 1/2 inch screws in centre of connector and into MDF

Bottom level, connectors screwed in every other one

Top level sits on bottom cages and screws into connectors going upwards into MDF to stabilise it

Thanks! I have 10 altogether, 8 live in the above housing and I have 2 in a purpose built cage :)

Is that vetbed? I've just ordered some, how do you find it? Do you put anything underneath it or is it ok on it's own? I have a c&c cage too, so it will be sitting on the base but do you use newspaper or something? Sorry for all the questions :embarassed:
 
I have vetbed in my c&c - got it on Ebay :) I put newspaper underneath to soak up all the wee! The paper does a very good job - as all liquid goes straight through the vet bed and it stays dry:)

Yes I do the same, lots of newspaper underneath O0I bought my vet bed on ebay too, its really good qality :)

Thanks so much for putting that detail up for me Fiona, it's such a fantastic setup! How do you get to the boys in the top level, do you just step into the lower runs? I just love it, love it, love it! ;D
 
Yes, I step onto the lower ones in bare feet and Timmy nibbles my toes ;D I just have to be careful of course but its been fine :D

I have 2 sows in the top level and Georgie is up there at the moment in the sectioned off part, he is being neutered on Thursday >:D
 
Yes, after the required time he will have 2 girlfriends and wont have to put up with grumpy old Lennie any more ;D
