Adelyn
Adult Guinea Pig
Sweet Clover passed away Friday night
I guess it was just her time
. I found her Saturday morning, lying peacefully under one of the hammocks. I'm glad she got to spend her final moments with her friends, safe at home. A lot of pigs don't get that.
Clover really was the sweetest pig I've ever known. She loved just about everyone, piggies and humans. I can only recall about one or two instances when she tried to hump or chase her cagemates. She was always the peacemaker and loved her friends, even when they were a handful. They loved her, too. Stella would give Clover "piggy kisses" almost every day.
Clover was especially good with children. If a child wanted to hold one of the guineas, it was Clover I chose.
Clover's absolute favorite thing was a huge pile of hay! She would make little nests for herself in it. I can't even count how many times I would walk into the pig room and see Clover poke her head out of the hay pile. Sometimes she hid herself so well, I had trouble finding her!
I already miss cuddling her and seeing her run to the edge of the pig area when I walked in. She was a special girl and always so happy. It's hard to believe she's gone. She was just shy of her 8th birthday.
Sleep tight baby girl, I'll miss you

This box was one of her favorite hides

This is after a partial bath – not her favorite thing, but she was always a good girl during the ordeal!
