As well as Minkis I have horses and always have a field to one side for hay making. This field is excellent for hay as it has clover in it which is wonderful for horses. Would clover be ok in the grass that I pick for the Minkis? ::)

yeah clover is fine, well my lot have been fine off it anyway :) my garden has lots and they free range during summer time and eat grass/clover and we have plantain too

Only give Clover before it flowers, after that its not so good for guineas. White is better than red, mine only get the white variety. I also grow Plantain, excellent to grow indoors in a pot, the best indoor herbage in my opinion :)

Karen, do you have any other tips on stuff I could grow indoors for my pigs? When I move to my Dad's flat I won't have a garden, so although they will have lots of floor-time for exercise, they won't get to graze. :(

Cereal grass is great for growing indoors. Timothy is OK, Plantain is great :) I have a Planet guinea grass and herbage mix that I grow inside too that looks good and grows well. Vetches grow well indoors but they should only be fed as a treat.

Sunflower Greens are easy to grow indoors too, as is Alfalfa (treat).

Planet Guinea click on the shop link :)
