Who is already thinking of Xmas stocking ideas for the pigs?
I'm thinking;
nice hay, couple of toys, vitakraft green rolls (seem quite healthy now and again type treat), and of course the obligatory carrot each!

Please share any other ideas with me! x

I've already bought mine! Though they don't quite fit in stockings!

Pets at Home Christmas Crinkle Santa Cat Hat - Probably Christmas Eve

Pets at Home Christmas Small Animal Bed Large - for Christmas morning

Pets at Home Christmas Tree Garland Small Animal Toy x 2 - For 12 days before Christmas

Just need to pick up a foraging nibble box from Wilko now!
Small Animal Nibble 'n' Dig Meadow

I've already started buying :xd: so far they've got some of the little beds from pets at home and various grassy loglets both plain and stuffed with dried goodies!
I'm probably going to get them some carrot cottages and those similar cube things. Brambles birthday is coming up too, so I'm probably going to get her some extra little bits :) They've got some custom built new cages in the works as well although I'm still waiting to hear back about delivery prices so I'm not sure they'll be in time for Christmas..but I'm coundting those towards sit too.

Spoilt piggies!
Love the santa hat and parsnip cottage I had never heard of these before but want one of each now haha.
The forage box is a great idea I think I will get one as it encourages their natural behaviour.
Thanks for the ideas.

Yup!

Mine are getting a bale of the most amazing hay ever (I'd eat it, it smells divine!) and a new cage + new fleeces.
I know some nice hays smell lush. I'm sure the pigs will be very happy. I don't know what it is about hay but even the sound of it sends pigs crazy happy.

Love the festive beds and forage mixes. I recommend the carrot cottages as they are dual use, hidey houses and nibble demolition projects haha.

Now I need those beds, thanks for nothing! :))

They had beds last year but they were red and white dotty.

I'm not an organised person so I'm sure I'll find something! I'm thinking about getting another edible plant for me to grow for them and trying to find some nibble stuff they haven't had before. Which will be hard! :))

Love those flower boxes, they look a lot better then the ones I've got where did you get yours. I would love to get some for my lot

Theyre giant versions of the little loglets stuffed with alpine hay, with flowers and carrot greens stuck on top.
They're from here although they were only testing the water with them when I bought them, I'm not sure if they will restock them but given how popular they were, they probably will!

Aww, they look so pretty!

It's Maia's birthday soon, and she's a very girly girl, I'm sure she'd love these.

Wow all these things for your piggies, money's tight this year, so I may have to delay there Christmas till end of January.

Best time to buy stuff anyway, sales! I tend to get them more presents in January for that reason :))

I'm a January baby myself so that's my shopping month! :P

The pigs are none the wiser, it's all done for our benefit I'm sure. Piggy salad, handful of grass (weather permitting) some kitchen roll tubes stuffed with hay and they will happier than pigs in, well, you know what!
That's what I love about animals, things like money, status, consumerism, appearance mean absolute zilch to them haha.

I just showed my partner this thread to prove I'm not the only one who has started pigmas shopping :P

I went for those beds but got one in large - the boys will share nicely and be grateful for it or they will get a coal in their stockings next year! :lol!:

We have a large bill to pay in January so the pigs won't be spoilt this year.. but I am planning on making new fleece cage liners!
I was intending to do the same. B&M has a lovely pair of fleeces 200x180, one red and one red check. I thought I could make them lovely festive looking liners, tunnels and pads but they could be used all year - then B&M took them off the shelves for all their Christmas fleeces - GRRRRR

I'm looking at getting Bruno a new food bowl from Everything Guinea Pig and I've not thought about our new guy Harold, possibly a new bed or snuggle cup

My lot will get a delayed Crimbo pressie this year! I know I am a bad slave!:soz:

In March/Aptil they will get a shiny new hutch! I know which one I'm going to get. At over £200 I need until then to save up for it!

I don’t even want to think about it. Patchy and Coco don’t play with toys (not even paper bags filled with hay), don’t like any beds that I buy them, have waaaay to much hay and are fussy with treats. I am at a loss as to what to get them lol. I have decided I am getting a Christmas themed fleece for them this year though.

If they like food, hollow out a large apple, put a few holes in it and fill it with their favourite veg! Always a big hit in my house as my lot don't really play with toys much either. Unless it's willow...

I'll probably do more stuff like that for them for Christmas, the problem with my lot is they don't really need anything!

Yes that is my problem too. They don’t need anything. Coco perhaps should have a bigger snuggle sack because its a struggle getting her out of her currant one now she’s got so big but thats about it. I’ve never made a snuggle sack before so this will be interesting lol. That’s Coco set for xmas. Patchy will just get a lump of coal because she’s been naughty this year lol.

I'm sure I saw somewhere on here that a good pressie was a cored apple cut in half with whizzed up blueberries or strawberries on the top. Someone posted a video of how to do it and their piggies enjoying it. Just can't remember who it was!
