Cold ears

I am worried because Ehab has cold ears today. He is warm everywhere else including his feet. It is really hot here so to put the heating on would be awful but I do not know what to do for him. Is it the sign of something bad?

Are your hands warm? If so, that's likely to be why his ears feel cold to you

I'd be more concerned about him having really hot ears. Are his ears still pink?

Guinea pigs regulate the body heat via the blood flow in their ears; they don't have sweat glands like we do or pant like dogs. As long as he is not uncomfy, I wouldn't worry - he must not feel too hot then.

They are still pink. I kept kissing them and rubbing them until they got warm. I worry because of his age. He is my little pensioner.

As long as his ears are pink I wouldn't worry. If they start getting very pale or brown on the tips, it can be a sign of a heart problem, but like wiebke says, it's how they regulate their heat so that's probably all he's doing!
