Hi all,
One of my piggies is making laboured noise when breathing.. She's also sneezing. She has made that noise over a week ago few times and next day it was gone. And was sneezing sooo much but we linked to new hay which wasn't dust free and after reverting back to dust free one she stopped. All other thing are normal. She's eating and drinking and zoomed today in her cage. No crust on eyes or nose, nose isn't wet either. I added video of that noise, which I think is best rather than description. @Wiebke @VickiA any thoughts? x she's stopped now mind you.

It sounds very nasal, has the noise also stopped since you changed the hay?

We changed has last week and it stopped but now it's back... When I had her close to my ears it sounded very ' Chesty' coming from her body... Then it stopped as I had her for lap time for some 30mins... Then it started a little bit again and now it's gone... :(

I would get her vet checked just to rule out a URI. The vet will be able to tell if there is any fluid on her chest too. She would need diuretics if so.

Hi, it sounds like a repertory infection , l see her eyes are watering as well . You are wise to take her to the vet.
Let us know how she gets on. Also, might be wise to keep her away from your other pig,

Hi guys,
We saw the vet this morning. She's checked her chest and it was clear. Couldn't take Biscuit's temperature as she's in heat so putting thermometer was impossible and very painful. the vet gave us medicine to clear to build up mucus, should it be what caused that noise in her couple of days ago, but she said she's reluctant to give her antibiotics because it's not constant, only happened 3 times or so, Biscuit is OK within herself, eating, popping and weeing OK. She may be a it run down because of recent bonding and travels and in heat.. But they don't want to stuff her with medication without evident reason as of course that's not good either, which is fair enough. Vwt gave her good check so we will monitor her of course, as we always do. Thank you all for advice. Hopefully it was just one of these things that aren't major and seemed it as in conjunction with other things x
