cheaper snugglesafe

Here are the two - one is the pet snugglesafe and one is the scottie all nighter. I personally haven't found them any different but one seems to be a lot cheaper than the other. Anyway here they are

They are the same thickness too.

Thank you Louise - I think I shall be investing in some as even though our shed is heated with all the duvets etc, it can't hurt for them to have a little extra warm patch!

Do you find that they try and bite the plastic?

I wonder why the price is so different if they are the same thing? Very odd. Been meaning to get a few of these for emergencies, so might get the 2 for £25 as that's very good value - thanks!

another idea is go to the charity shops and pick up sleeping blankets. my piggies are in the garage and are always warm when i use them over the hutch

I'm sure someone will be able to advise on heatpads soon :)

When you button your hutch hugger up all nice and cosy, if you can, try and make sure there is some kind of ventilation if possible as the damp may occur within the hutch and hutch hugger which as I understand it, can cause respiratory and fungal skin conditions. Although reading my post back, I'm not sure how you can get ventilation in a waterproof cover!

As for a cage, is there a rescue close to you? If so, it's possible they may let you have a cage for a donation as when animals are surrendered they often hand over the cages too, so it's possible they may have a surplus - it's worth asking, anyway! :)

Best of luck!

I don't think you can use the heatpads without a microwave :( They don't heat up the space around the piggy much but do heat up whilst the piggy is snuggled up to it :)

Ooh that's handy to know! Thanks Louise :)

I've just had to replace my old Heatpad in a rush, why do they always pack up just 10 seconds before you really really need them?

I ended up having to shell out £18 (inc delivery) on a new mat, so two for £25 sounds much better!

Incidentally, the Snugglesafes fit perfectly in our Hammocky Beds and providing we are contacted ahead of dispatch, we supply a matching cover with the bed instead of the two spare mattresses. We can also make the sides of the bed higher to compensate if necessary, just bung us an email! :)
