Cold weather on the way *brrrr*

It dropped to -12 on my way home. The coldest it's dropped to in my job was 2010 when it dropped to -19. The coldest I've ever experienced was on exercise in Germany in November 1988 when it dropped to a bone numbing -27. Not the time to be driving around in a canvas topped series 3 Landrover with non existent heating.

We started the day at -5⁰C here... I decided that wearing my usual flip flops to take the dog out wasn't a good idea, but can confirm that my husband's crocs were not the upgrade I was hoping for. I did still have bare legs though :))
 
Minus 3 here now 5 later tonight. The warning that it's minus 3 says it feels like minus 9, tell me about it! I'm about to go out and see if I can find some grass for tomorrow's piggie breakfast in case it's frozen tomorrow morning. Looking forward to Sunday, 11 degrees and rain! Never thought I would look forward to rain!

No heating in the car would be rough! I think the coldest I can remember is about -40. It was cold enough that the hairs in your nostrils froze after the first couple breaths. Public schools wouldn't make us go outside for recess if it was -35 or colder, so you know it's freaking cold!
 
It's not the weather its having the central heating system ripped out then and then my mother falls because of workers tools ladder I just catch the ladder from going on top of my mother
How she can't move her leg or stand and still waiting for an ambulance from this morning
Council should have done this in summer not freezing temperatures

It was -7.5 while I was scraping the car at 9am to head off to the vet, I'm not cut out for the cold at all. Going from being cold to a warm building has been making me almost pass out so that's another fun feature of being over 30 that I didn't sign up for 🤣

As much of a pain as it is, it is pretty though at least.

My poor mum had her new boiler put in this week too @jayne, they took 3 days to do it and she had no central heating :( My sister said she could see her breath indoors when she went to visit, so cold! She lent my mum a plug in electric heater, could you maybe use one of these to keep you warm @jayne?
I hope they don’t take too long x
