Did anyone else notice how cold it was last night? When I woke up yesterday morning, I decided it was time for the carpet to go back on the girls hutch. They are in the out house, have a carpet wrapped around their hutch, A towel to cover the front at night time, a snugglesafe AND lots of hay and I'm still worried about them :( I'd left their other water bottle on their run and that was frozen up. Luckily, the one on their hutch doesn't seem to freeze as they're not technically 'outside'.

It was cold in Liverpool 1.5 degrees. Pigs are ok though. I am converting cages and covering them up of a night so they are fine. Buns are coming in tomorrow 2 resuce boars will live ontop of the hutch in a 4x2 C&C and Jasper who is coming on Thursday will be next to them so he at least can see piggys until he is neutered. :)

But yep its defo cold but thankfully when the sun comes out it warms the shed up in the garden. :)

Yes it was cold here last night and I was worried about the piggies in the shed being warm enough.:( They have their bedding part packed with loads of hay though but going to have to get some more snugglesafes because I only have two.

It was 0 degrees here :( I have one snugglesafe for my 2 to share. It was the first time I used it last night and they seemed a little confused at first. I placed in in between their living accommodation and sleeping area. When I went out this morning though, they were both sat on top of it even though it had gone cold :))

Yes it was very cold last night and the temps are falling fast now. I do not have any worries about the cold for my piggies. The heater is now on in the shed and its as warm as the house. I think keeping them in clean housing helps a lot too. Drafts are the worst thing in the world for animals too. If you can keep them in a dry damp free, Draft free warm eniviroment you will have happy and heathy piggies.
