can guinea pigs get a common cold? what's the mildest guinea pig illness?

No they don't catch colds but they can get upper respiratory infections (URIs) which can have symptoms of sneezing, wet crusty noses and watery eyes in the early stages. Definitely not a mild condition though and can be fatal if untreated
