Well it's known as a 'blaze' on a horse, I'm not sure if there is a term for it for pigs?

Anyway, my Brunel seems to be loosing part of his blaze, or it's slipped a bit.

This picture is him about two weeks after his neuter op. back in October. One white stripe up the middle of his face with brown cheeks each side.

This is him earlier this week - I know it's not the best pic. due to the lighting and him being rather distracted by treats, but his markings have changed.

Any ideas why this might have happened? We've noticed the change gradually over the last few months. Brunel seems to be his normal self with no changes in behaviour etc, and he enjoyed the arrival of young Lilith his wife pig in November.

I've had a pig whose coat colour faded as he got older - he started off as a dark ginger and seemed to slip up the colour chart each year; but I've never had one whose markings had moved.

I have a pig with a blaze too. His markings haven't moved as such but gotten less distinguished as the black has grown into the white blaze. I guessed it was just to do with age x

Over the last couple of years George has developed new patches of white, I just thought it was due to his age- his ginger has faded all over too.
