hi, I'm not sure if I'm being completely stupid here, but I'll post anyway. One of my GP's is white, with pink eyes. when I got him (as a baby) he was completely white. but as he has gotten older he has dark grey (almost black) patches of fur on his face and it keeps getting bigger and bigger.

can their hair change colour as they get older?

For a start you're not stupid Jenn :) it's a very good question and i've no idea.... sorry. Duke has changed a little but not like that. Mmmm post a piccie i'm sure somebody will be able to help you then :)

Hello! Lots of animals change colors, with age. I don't know why piggies would be any different!

Your piggie sounds like he has himalayne in him or is one. Are his feet getting darker and his ears?

I agree with PP, sounds like he's not a PEW but himi. Himi's don't get there points till later, couple of months old i *think* and they darken off gradually :)

Oh I got it right ;D I think if I did not know about the points coming later I would think I had a dirty piggie ;D

Agree, if he isn't Himi or got Himi in him, many animals (including guineas) change colour with age. :)

I agree he could be a Himi cross, I am sure that some don't develop the markings until they are around six months old

He's a unique piggie! Bless. I wish mine would change colour! lol! Mr Honey gets filthy! :smitten:

Totally agree. Tiny has developed a little black spot on her head and she's white with one brown patch and one black :)
