Hi! :)
Over the course of the past year, I have tried five different kinds of bedding, but none of them have worked! My guinea pigs have free-roam of my room, which means that whenever I buy fleece, I have to buy a ton of it!
One major issue I have run into involves the fact that I have wood flooring. Therefore, if the piggies pee in certain spots, the moisture reaches the floor. This has me incredibly worried, as I know that this could lead to the wood rotting. I just want to keep my piggies safe, and after much searching online, I found a solution.
I was able to find a 6-foot x 6-foot leakproof mat that will cover a large portion of their room. This mat will ensure that they are kept dry and happy.
My concern-
Although the mat is soft, it isn't very thick, so I have decided to keep a few of their bath mats in the room for them to snuggle on while sleeping. Will the lack of support affect them while running/popcorning, though?
Thank you!

Have you thought about a large piece of lino flooring? I don't know what the comparative prices are but you can buy big pieces of roll lino from carpet shops and cheaper off-cuts in random sizes...? Some are described as 'non-slip' for people so they might have more grip for piggies?

I got an offcut of lino for my piggies and it was really cheap. My piggies don't run around on it though. I put it on the garage floor to stop the cold from coming up from the concrete. I have a waterproof mattress protector and fleece on top.
