comforting separated piggies

hi

i've had to separate the one male baby from Peony because otherwise he'll mate with her and her daughter ::) ::)
he's very lonely and wheeking a lot! :'( :'( :'(
any ideas on how to keep him company?
 
What about getting another baby boar for him for company? In the meantime, give him lots of attention and cuddles :smitten:
 
if you are not considering getting another boar to keep him company, keep his cage as close to the girls one as possible, so he can see smell and hear them still... he wont be as lonely, at least he will be able to talk with them...
then when he is heavy / old enough to be neutered, he can go back in with them.
 
Agree with what Abnoba has said if you don't plan to get another boar. If you do plan to get another boar you are going to have to give him a load of toys and lots of attention, keeping him away from the girls. I think you plan to get him neutered so that he can be put back with the girls don't you? O0

what vet do you use on the Island ? it will be interesting to see if you use the same as me Riverbank, agrere if you are getting him snipped then fine and just keep him close so he has company but if you are getting another male then make sure you get one his age so they can bond from an early age

i use riverbank too! i'd like to have him neutered and then he can go back with the others. what do you think? should i find another boar?
 
I think that would be a good idea. If you get another boar and females are around you can guarantee they will fight. O0
