Okay Astro's weigh ins let me know what you think. 13th Dec 1033gms, saw Simon 14th had his last lower incisor removed. Had an upset stomach over xmas for 3 days. 3rd Jan 942 gms, 10th Jan 956 gms, 17th Jan 952 gms. (He used to be 1200 gms before losing one bottom incisor a year previously and then seemed to settle about the 1050 mark).

Astro is we think about 5 years old he was part of the huge Feb 2012 rescue and we have had him since June 2012.

I have found this with some of mine, that they lose weight for whatever reason (it varies) and then struggle to regain it though they do manage to maintain at the lower weight and not drop anymore. Are you syringe feeding at all? With my smaller ones I have also been leaving a bowl of mush out which is helping them a bit.

Looks like he lost weight over Christmas due to a combination of having a tooth removed and a stomach upset. 100gms over 3 weeks is not drastic considering his health. His weight appears to have stabilised now and that is good. Piggies can weigh up to 50gms more after veggies and up to 10gms less after a good wee. He is likely to stay around his current weight now as he is an older boy, like @helen105281 we have also had older piggies drop weight and then stabilise. Keep weighing him weekly but if he is lively etc then he is most likely coping well with his new weight.

Well been to see simon (cat and rabbit vets) and weighed 940 at 10.30 am. It was also 940 at TEAS at 2.30pm. Back teeth pretty ok and munching hay an nuggets fine all things considering.
