Hi all,
One of my guinies ("Bubble") is totally bananas about bananas. She's 4 months old and I feed her and her sister a well balanced diet of hay, fresh mixed leafy veges and baby carrots, slices of apples, or a slice of green or orange pepper twice weekly, plus they are taken outside for their grass and a tiny bit of pellets (finally found a place that provides good pellets). So... here is my question... can I give "Bubble" a little piece of babana every second day? I have done this up 'till now with no problems but I need to make sure it's ok? She loves it.

Hello and welcome.
You can check out the forum links on feeding fruits and vegetables for information.
I can’t answer as none of mine like banana.
Others will be along who do know but it is an occasional treat, that much I know.
It will be nice to see pics of your piggies.

I think banana is high in sugar and can also cause piggies constipation, but I am not sure as none of my lot will touch it.

We have one guinea pig who adores banana.
She goes crazy if she smells one.

But it is super high in sugar, so we tend to allow here a very small nibble no more than once or twice a month.
I don't think I would feed it very second day to be honest. so maybe continue giving Bubble her banana, but a little less frequently.

I know that many piggies do like bananas, but due to the high sugar content I would make sure to feed it at least once a week if more, than twice. I would be careful with feeding fruit such as this.
