So today, I went to pick up some Heygates pellets from a farm supplier...well I was chatting to @Tim when one of the lovely ladies overheard us chatting on the phone about hay.

She showed me some fabulous hay, I was seriously drooling at the mouth. She even introduced me to her son who chopped it, it was this years...OMG...long and so green.

Well still talking to Tim, I ended up with 2 big bags and £3.50 per bag with barley room with me and feed in the boot.

It's a shocking photo but fill you boots!

Tim, your bag is currently sitting nicely in my works warehouse.

So that's my confession...I'd eat it if I could, it smells so yummy.

Oh even better I put the hay in Jack, Anthea and Florence's hutch...well they went crazy for it. Jack was pop corning and even hit his head on the water bottle spout...silly little thing.

That hay does look lovely and green! If I was a piggy I might just dig in...I have to admit I have always been a lover of the snell of hay and I love filling the your racks up so the room smells of it haha- sorry to all those with hay allergies that visit me...

That looks lush. I bet the pigs are gonna love it. The hay I've been buying isn't great so I decided to order some nice Timothy hay today, should be here next week. Hope it's nice.

My real addiction is readigrass. I love the smell so much. I could quite happily sit sniffing a bag for hours. It's soooo nice

That looks like lovely hay, lucky piggies :) I love the smell of oxbow's botanical hay, it smells like some sort of herbal tea bag and I have started calling it "tea bag hay" lol.

I get hay from the farm that is only about 5 mins from my late Mum's house (unfortunately it is about an hour's round trip for me!). The hay is always lovely and fresh and my piggies can't get enough of it and at £5 a bale it's a bargain! My Mum introduced me to Sue who owns the farm years ago when I had Lenny & Gizmo as my pigs who are now over the Bridge. She used to go there for straw for the ducks.

I have to say I looked closer round me for good hay but couldn't find any, perhaps i was just being picky, but this is the first lot straight from the field that I've though it's worth buying. good job it's near work otherwise it's 2 hrs on the road....

Have you got any farms near you? It's much cheaper and I think it's better for my piggies! They love it! I use it as bedding in the hutch too and they just love their hay! Can't get enough of hay! Even when in the run on grass they choose ......hay!:drool:

I drove out there today... silly me didn't check the opening times and arrived at 12:30 when it closes at 12 on Sundays! Oops... lovely day for a drive in a car with no aircon lol
