Ruby Inferno
Teenage Guinea Pig
So, everywhere I look, it says "you can feed x veggie x times weekly" etc. etc., but some people seem to feed mostly the same thing every day, and even if they mix it up a bit they still feed more than is "recommended" (not criticising, just confused). Their piggies might get the same veggies pretty much every day for a week's straight when they are veggies that you can supposedly only feed up to 4 times weekly? And even if they change the veggies around, one of them might be the same for ages. I'm so paranoid about feeding them too much of one thing, I probably don't give them enough veggies. I feel like a terrible piggy mummy.
I have loads of different piggy veggies in the fridge, but I stick to the recommended intake (e.g. I only really feed celery/cucumber every other day) and I don't think I'm actually giving them enough. Usually I give them 3-4 different types of veggie, I'm just worried I'm going to feed them too much of one thing and give them diarrhea.
Also some piggy owners feed celery/cucumber every day, when I have heard you shouldn't because it will upset their stomach. They also feed celery and cucumber at the same time, but apparently too much watery veg causes diarrhea. And their piggies are absolutely fine. Argh so much mixed information, what do I do?!
If anyone can offer advice I would appreciate it greatly!
