Conjunctivitis

Hi there, just wanted to check and see if conjunctivitis was transmissible between humans and guinea pigs.

I have it quite bad right now and wondering what that means for my pigs. I won’t be handling them regardless, just to be safe, but just wanted to check. Thanks

Hello that not nice having conjunctivitis !
I don’t know if it is transferable between humans and guinea pigs but it is very contagious between humans
Best to be safe and as you said you won’t handle your piggies while you have it
You will need to be super careful and I expect you already know to use your own towels/flannels etc and change daily with a wash at least 60C - i hope you get over it quickly !
