I have 6 guinea-pigs and as the sun moves round in the day, my guinea-pigs are often in direct sunlight, although I put a wet fleece blanket over the top of the run and spray the hutches with a hose I still think they're going to get too hot so I was going to bring them in for a bit during the hottest part of the day tommorow, and just sit with them in the kitchen or something, but I was wondering if bringing them in for a bit would make it even harder when they went back outside?

I wouldn't have thought so. It might make a difference if they were to go from room temp to very cold, but you're talking about keeping them out of heat. I think it's a good idea.

I normally keep mine in the shed (except I bring them in over winter) but I work all day and have just put my pigs in the garage for during the day as it gets no sun on it. They're in the run as soon as I get home and all day at weekends, but am lucky cos I can move the run around to follow the shade in my garden.
