Contacting Mods

Is there an easy way to contact a mod? A button to press or something? Or do we just have to keep an eye out for who is online and grab 'them? Thanks x
 
call up the members map

select a mod

send a PM

or pop a post asking for help and wait

thats what i did

they are very good (creep creep)

erm...........i understand this request cause when i'm on .....your off times (zzzzzzzz time LOL) ........i see these people sign in..i know they're not legit....we used to have a report type button?
what do i use now?
and btw i think you all (aka mods) do a fab job it must be so difficult and let's face it i seem to have seen many 'unusual' people registering lately :{malletheadmalletheadmallethead

i go to the top[ right hand corner of the post and press the red triangle,that reports it x

There is still a report button for posts, but I know what you mean about people not being legit. I don't suppose our newest member is a gp lover rolleyes Pity that user names that are all numbers cannot just be declined as they are never real. Trying not to say the word, that included (ham and pork) as apparently it attracts them :{ :
 
Jane just wondered if we had a button to press instead of pming. We have the normal report button.

If you need a mod best think is to pm rather than rely on us seeing a thread.

They could at least hide the fact they are a bot! lol

Isn't there something on the forum set up that blocks bots? I know some have that option. They are a right pain for the mods and for those that do click as they can contain viruses! :(
 
Well, we try lol! If it's obvious what they are then we try to ban them before they even start posting, but sometimes they evade us!

Yes, the report button is really useful, for reporting posts. I just wondered if there could be a 'Contact a mod' button, for unrelated queries, but then I guess you would all get the pm, and not know who was dealing with it? xx
 
Yep you do a great job to keep ontop of it, some forums are full of it and it spoils the place.

I tell you what is worse then, doesn't happen on MSN as much but when I was an AOL member ages ago bots used to contact you on messenger! I used to get excited thinking someone wanted to talk to me but it was just a spammer! lol

I get this on msn all the time. My friend and I fell out with someone a year or 2 ago and ever since we keep getting bots adding us. I won't say what they are adding us for.. but we think it must have something to do with her because it happened at the same time as falling out with her!

OH ........the red triangle...do you know that's the first time i've seen it.........i truly have not seen it when i see those posts......i feel an absolute DH
