At our local vets today with Cosmos we saw one of the Directors who happens to be responsible for the surgeries of the practise. He was wondering if any forum members had ever had CONVENIA prescribed to their piggies. If you have he is interested in responses to compare with his own experience. Debbie be interested in Simons opinion.

First Time Resolution
 
Someone on this forum had Convenia prescribed and their guinea pig was very ill following it. I spoke to Simon at the time and he said it is not suitable for guinea pigs. It is a long lasting antibiotic that is used for cats. Guinea pigs metabolism means it wouldn't be long lasting for them, but it also isn't tolerated well by guinea pigs either.
