When picking up nuggets in pets at home, I noticed that one of the piggies looked very big around the middle, and mentioned to the assistant that, although I couldn't bet sure, I suspected it might be pregnant. All the piggies were very young.
The young man said 'it can't be. They're all boys'. I said 'are you sure? It might be worth getting your vet to look that one over, just in case. He said 'They're definitely all boys, they all have balls. I said 'they're too young for that, their testicles wouldn't be descended hat's. He said, very slowly, as though I was stupid ' they are all boys, they have balls'. At this point, I gave up and left with a final 'it would be worth a vet check.'
Now maybe the piggy was just fat, but she was very young and the sides looked pretty large for such a small piggy.....it WOULD have been worth a check. Feeling frustrated.

Ooo I hate that kind of attitude. I think I would have made out I wanted to buy him/her and ask for a hold and check the sex myself :)) but then I love to prove an obnoxious person wrong. I just hope someone doesn't buy him/her in their current state

I’d phone the store manager and complain .He had no right to speak to you that way and the piggie should be checked over

He will realise you were right and have his head in his hands eventually. Go back when he's off shift, and try again. Say you'll report them.

Its always good in a situation like that to ask for the rude person's name and job title, that gives them a hint that you might be going to go higher up their management food chain! Hard to think of such things on the spot though, poor piggies...

Thanks for the support everyone. I'm a confident person, so I wasn't phased by him, but I do feel for the piggies if they're being sexed by whether or not they have 'balls'.

You could ask the RSPCA to go in and check then pets at home have to listen
