there's a topic on here that DOES state the veggies and fruit, but I don't know if some of these should be cooked or not.

Broccoli - cooked or uncooked

and sweet peas/peas in pods.... can they eat them raw or even at all

As far as I am aware everything should be raw, just like they would find it in the wild. :)

I feed everything raw, keeps all the vits and minerals in.

Peas in pods are fine Gilbert loves them.

thanks =]... hey is it a bad idea to give your guinea carrots everyday?

I give her half an orange slice every other day. is that okay to?

Some people think it is bad to give carrots every other day I give them 2-4 days. Its everything in moderation :) Orange can cause sores as can apples and I guess any citrus fruits, plus they are full of sugar.

so no veggies everyday? what about some type of veggie or fruit everyday?

Oh yeah you have to give veggies everyday just mix it up a typical day for my pigs would be

Romaine,
Parsley
Basil for breakfast

then
Baby Carrots
Celery
Corn for tea.

The follwing day

Green leaf lettuce
Cucumber
Broccoli for breakfast

Green Pepper
Cherry Tomatoes
Kale for tea.

I also use Yellow pepper, green cabbage, apple, strawberries and green beans.

People on here probably do it better but I'm trying to establish who likes what at the mo, girls don't like cucumber boys don't like broccoli etc etc.

It is supposed to be 80% Hay (I use Meadow mixed with Herbage) 15% Veggies and 5% Dried food or pellets. As long as you give them some veggies, they do like them and its good for keeping the teeth down!
