I feel like I should know the answer to this but is cooked veg bad for pigs? I wouldn't usually do this but we are low on veg and cant get out, i have some baby sweetcorn that I defrosted but (again I wouldn't do this normally) its soggy and would need heated to be crisped up. I know my boys will turn their nose up at the soggy stuff, who can blame them! So as a one off or in emergencies is this ok?

Veg should be raw, not cooked or frozen or canned.

They won't hurt going without veg tonight, as long as they have hay and pellets, they might just be a bit disgruntled. Could you pick some grass? I've just picked some dandelions for my guys from the field I walk my dogs in as I know they're safe. I leave them in water to soak, then rinse in a salad spinner.

I'm not sure exactly why they cant have it cooked but apparently they cant .... but they will be fine without veggies some pigs dont get veg and live reasonably long lives despite that (I am not talking about what piggy lovers do but ignorant owners)

If you have a garden like mine it will be full of dandylions and sticky weekd these can be fed to guinea pigs if washed :-)
