I know we all say that all piggies weigh different amounts etc, but shes 5months old and still weighs only just over 500g, should i still not be worried? she looks so skinny for her size :( and i weighed maisy and shes reached the 1KG mark :o and poppy isnt far behind at 975g

Hi Kelly,
Is she eating well? Is it possible to give her extra food without the others?
I'm sorry, other than that I am of no use.

Anne: she is eating normally and eats alot i think, i have been giving her extra veggies at lap time because the other two do eat quicker than her, but she is a exercise freak, alsways running, jumping and climbing ::)

Debbie: she is a little smaller than other two (is a few months younger) but i think she is thin for her size, if she was putting on an ounce a week it would be ok but she hasnt put anything on for ages :( but shes not loosing weight either, so its confusing :-\

maybe cookie will have a growth spurt soon and start to grow and put on the weight. she is still a baby. if you are concerned maybe take her to the vet for a check up. sending hugs and cuddles to you and cookie. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Hi Kelly,

Maybe a check up would put your mind at rest. They all differ Eccles is pretty small compared to Pudsey he is 6 months.

Hope Cookie is ok!

I'm going to see if she puts anything on by Friday if not I'm taking her for a check up, but she only had a check up few weeks ago and had so many tests and she was fine :-\ il keep giving her a bit of extra veg at lap time, maybe she doesnt eat quick enough ::) but there are always unlimited pellets and hay ::) it could just be because she is so active :)

Giz is 9 months ish old and she weighs just under 700g.....she is always first in the food bowl and has always got something to eat in her mouth and the vet said she is perfectly healthy,so I have come to the conclusion she is just my delicate little flower :smitten:

awww :smitten: i would be happy if cookie got to 650g though :-\ it just scary having a skinny pig incase they get ill :(
