Morning all,

I have just gotten up to notice that our favourite Cookie can't walk properly. He seems to be swinging his head side to side and falls over.

I'm making a appointment with my local vet asap but I just wondered whether you would suspect it's ears or anything else I should ask for?

I'm assuming they will prescribe antibiotics?

Not sure why it's always him that ends up poorly...!

Best wishes at the vet Cookie

let us know how he gets on

Fingers crossed for Cookie!

It can be a symptom of an inner ear infection or a neurological problem. The first can usually be cured by an antibiotic although a head tilt may remain depending on the severity and how soon he gets treatment. For the latter, not much can be done. Good that you have booked him in promptly!

If it is a head tilt there is life after a head tilt like this. My Minky suffered this just over 2 years ago & is still going strong x

Thanks all! Yes Debbie, luckily he is still eating, I will get him looked at here and then see if I can get some time off this week -.- I have so many interviews to do at work that I'm not sure whether I can get even a half day -.-

I'm at the vets now, he looks better now than he did this morning, but still not right -.-

Still in a good enough mood to rumble at the noises he doesn't like.. :p

So the vets had a look in his ear on Monday the right ear had some amount of discharge in it. he's been having septrin since Monday afternoon, since yesterday he is looking a lot better, his head is straight and he is mostly walking normally going through the tunnels and bossing his lady friend around.

I hope he was seen quick enough to make sure he will stay like that... Xx
